Hapuna Fitness Center

The Hapuna Fitness Center is located across the drive from the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel with the pro shop and Arnies Restaurant. It offers cardiovascular equipment in a spacious setting overlooking the golf course and ocean. Our certified personal trainers are available for personal training's to get you started on a new program or to evaluate your current workouts. Our hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and we offer a variety of fitness classes including Yoga, Step Aerobics, Spinning, a Pilates based mat class, Hydro Power, Aqua Fit, and Sport pump. Our locker room includes a full shower facility along with both a steam and sauna room.

Massage is done at the Fitness Center but we also offer massage at the pool and in the salon. The following is a list of our massages offered: Aromatherapy, Swedish, Lomi Lomi, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Sports Massage, Thai Massage, Craniosacral, Deep Tissue, and Myofacial Release & Unwinding. We also offer a variety of wraps and scrubs including the Seaweed Gel Wrap, Salt and Aloe Scrub, Citrus Body Polish, Herbal Wrap, and Volcanic Clay. For the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation, treat yourself to a body wrap treatment followed by a massage of your choice, The Hapuna Special. Oriental Therapies include Acupuncture, Acupressure, moxabustion and Chinese herbal consultations.

   
   

Description of Classes

  1. Yoga – Learn Yogic breathing and stretching techniques to tune into your bodies           needs.  Revitalize the body to leave the mind feeling calm and focused.

  2. Sport Pump – Created to target the hard to tone areas.  It is simple and low-impact using dumbbells for muscle strengthening.

  3. Aqua Fit – Come and join us at the pool for fun and fitness.  Aqua Fit is not your typical water aerobics class.  Using noodles, we are sure to work all the major muscle groups of the body.

  4. Step Aerobics – A low impact yet high-energy class.  We will take you through a variety of choreographed segments that are so fun, you will forget you are working out.  We also incorporate light upper body work into the class, as well as abdominal training and flexibility.

  5. Pilates Based Mat Class – A full body conditioning class that works to simultaneously stretch while you strengthen.  Helps to alleviate lower back pain by increasing abdominal strength.  Emphasizes control, balance techniques, and alignment.

  6. Hydro Power – A challenging shallow water workout using plyometrics and swimming techniques.  Abdominal workout (water abs) finishes this 45-min class.

  7. Spinning – You won’t want to miss this fun and exciting workout.  Burn more calories in a 45-minute class than you would in an hour aerobics class.  Your spinning instructor will take you through a cycle workout indoors on our Schwinn spinners.  Please call ahead to reserve your bike.

  8. Cycle – Similar to spinning, let our instructor take you through an indoor cycle class.  Burn off all that extra food you’ve been eating at our fabulous restaurants.  Please call ahead to reserve a bike.

  9. Personal training – Work one-on-one with a certified personal trainer who will motivate you through a safe and effective workout.  What ever your fitness level, our trainers will provide you with a workout to meet your needs.

  10. Personal Yoga Training – Individual yoga session’s focus on clients needs to create a well-rounded workout that strengthens and tones muscles.  Relax the mind and rejuvenate the entire system.

  11. Personal Training with Karen Stubbs, MFA – Receive a personalized program developed specifically for your needs, utilizing alternate methods of training through use of the Pilates technique and Swiss Ball.  Learn it here.  Take it home.  Learn to focus on mind and body awareness, repatterning, technique and alignment.  Full body strengthening integrated with stretching.

  12. Swim Instruction – Private and group lessons are available Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 11:00 AM &7:00 PM.  Swim instruction also available other days upon request.  For more information please call Jolee at 898-1977 or 326-2935.

  13. Personal Aquatic Training – Let a certified personal trainer take you through water exercises that provide assistance or resistance to improve balance and increase strength and endurance.  Through aquatic training you will decrease impact, increase range of motion, decrease pain, improve balance, and be provided a transition to land-based exercises.
