2/8/03- Pearl Country Club, Hawaii's Greg Meyer (left), Member of the Japan Golf Tour started the final round with a 3-shot lead only to see it dwindle after taking a double bogey 6 on the 10th hole. Meyer kept his composure and eagled the 17th hole to take a 1-shot lead with one to play over Professional Steve Schneiter and Hiroyuki Naito of Japan. Meyer, Schneiter, and Naito pared the last hole giving Greg the championship by 1-shot. Today's win gives Greg his third Pearl Open title with the other two in '87 & '88. Norman-Ganin Asao (below) of Pearl City, Hawaii, came from behind today to win the low amateur honors. Asao started the day T4 amongst the amateurs with Kauai's Shannon Sibayan and closed with a final round one-over par 73 and a tournament total of 2-over par 218, T20 overall. Michelle Wie closed with a final round 5-over par 77 and a tournament total 8-over par 224, T43.
