The Hawaii Kai Golf Course is located on the eastern side of Oahu and
just 15 miles from Waikiki. The par-72 championship course was designed
by golf course architect William Bell and opened in 1973. The trademarks
of William Bell's courses are well-trapped greens and several lakes, both
evident in this design.
The Championship Course measures 6,686 yards from the back tees and features
wide fairways, large greens with well-placed bunkers, and beautiful scenery.
Every tee offers views of the Makapuu Cliffs, Pacific Ocean and the rugged
eastern Oahu coastline.
Wind is a significant factor on the golf course. Also, there is very little
rough to contend with and grain is not a big factor with the Tifton Dwarf
grass. For the golfer who takes into account both the wind and break conditions,
the Hawaii Kai Championship Course is a challenge and a pleasure to play.
The Hawaii Kai Clubhouse features a well-stocked pro shop. The 2nd Floor
Restaurant and cocktail lounge offers beautiful views of the Pacific and the
Makapuu Cliffs. Collared shirts and shoes are required on the course. Powered
golf carts are also mandatory.
We have the latest Global Positioning
System (GPS) satellite technology, outfitted in each of our golf
carts. Click to see
