This beautiful mountainside layout has long been a favorite
among residents and visitors, who come not only for the great
golf but to enjoy the panoramic vistas of the historic naval
base and the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial below. Designed by
Japanese architect Akira Sato and opened in 1967, Pearl
Country Club is conveniently located in 'Aiea, just minutes
outside of Honolulu.
Measuring 6,700 yards
and playing to a par 72, the course is distinguished by
rugged, rolling terrain and lined with thousands of Northfolk
pine, coconut palms and flowering monkey pod trees. There are
only a few fairway bunkers here and just two lakes, but the
trees, the terrain, and quick, well-manicured greens makes
this a fun and challenging test. Pearl Country Club serves as
the annual site of the prestigious Hawai'i Pearl Open. Its
director of golf, Kaua'i-born David Ishii, captured the PGA
Tour's 1990 Hawai'ian Open and is a multiple time winner on
the Japan Golf Tour. The label "country club" is misleading.
Pearl is open to the public and is reasonably priced. Pearl
Country Club is also home for Hawaii's most prestigious
locally ran tournament, The Hawaii Pearl Open.
Pearl Country Club also hosts many other top
tournaments annually; The Sony Open in Hawaii Monday Qualifier
(A PGA Tour Event), The Hawaii State Amateur Stroke-Play
Championship and countless others.
We've got all the
amenities that any other "Country Club" has to offer -
without the fancy membership fee. Just 15 min. from Waikiki,
our challenging 18 hole course is complimented by a
breathtaking panoramic view of Pearl Harbor. Best of
all, we're always open to the public. But if privacy is what
you're looking for...our Garden Gazebo is the perfect backdrop
for any wedding ceremony. In fact, we'll cater any private
event for you and up to 300 of your friends.
